Large-scale energy storage and conversion
Research activities will aim to address core challenges in the implementation of carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS) technologies in Europe, including demonstration, public acceptance and regulatory recognition of its value and benefits within an integrated energy system. Specifically, work will focus on designing, constructing and operating a first-of-a-kind, full-chain CO2 capture and conversion project in an industrial environment. The applicability and environmental performance of CCU products, methanol and DME, will also be assessed along with potential market demand.
More details and links to research outputs will be available on this page in due course.
