Heriot-Watt University

WP1

Heriot-Watt University (HWU) participates in this project through the Research Centre for Carbon Solutions (RCCS), which is part of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS). RICCS is an interdisciplinary, innovative and international centre for research at the interface between science and engineering. It was formerly known as the Centre for Innovation in Carbon Capture and Storage (CICCS) and rebranded in April 2017 due to a growth of the centre's research porfortlio and to reflect more closely the breadth of our research activities in the whole CCUS chain, clean energy and sustainability.

Other research within EPS includes offshore gas separation technology, chemical looping processes, CO2 sensor development and monitoring, measurement and verification of storage sites and pipelines, and the chemical fate of CO2.
