Blueprints for low carbon industrial clusters through CCUS
Six industrial clusters across five EU countries will be the focus of targeted full-chain CCUS research. Results will then feed into delivery blueprints for each region. Work will focus on reducing the cost of CO2 capture at the Grangemouth and Teesside clusters in the UK, and de-risking CO2 storage capacity; decarbonising the Rotterdam industrial cluster in the Netherlands through enabling a centralised facility producing hydrogen, syngas, nitrogen and heating; mapping the potential for CCU production and demand in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany; and planning shared infrastructure and transport options in the Grenland region of Norway.
More details and links to research outputs will be available on this page in due course.
